Watercolour and pastel crayons

Pastel crayons are bought either as a set or colour by colour. Faber-Castell Gofa sets of 12 and 36 colours and Mini Creative Studio sets of 24, 48 and 72 suit beginners and school art lessons; the Gamma set holds 36 colours. Faber-Castell Polychromos and Pitt pastels are sold as numbered single colours, so a used-up shade can be replaced or a personal palette built, for example from the greens and earth tones.
